Do you want to be more confident in your sales and leadership? Keep reading.

We all want to be the Star(hero) in our own job, business, and even life “movie”.

In a moment I’m going to give you a chance to do that… to be the Star in your own “movie”.

But first…

LET’S GO TO THE MOVIES!

In every 5 Star Blockbuster-Movie, a Formula is used to involve your head and heart. Let’s take a look at that Formula.  Trust me, understanding this will be critical in creating your own “movie”.

Here’s the Formula most 5 Star Blockbuster-Movies use to earn hundreds of millions of dollars.

S – There’s a Star (hero).

T – The Star has a Task to accomplish.

A – There’s an Arch Villain that plans to thwart the Star’s task.

R – There’s a Reach coach(mentor) that gives the Star a plan to beat the Villain and accomplish the task. The Star will temporarily borrow the Reach coach’s confidence until they can build it up in them self.

R – There’s a Reason created that makes the Star take action NOW!

And so, the Star takes the action, beats the villain, accomplishes the task, and the celebration follows.

Think of a movie you recently saw that has both a clearly defined Star(hero) and an Arch Villain.

Think about it…does the Formula fit?  If it made hundreds of millions, it surely does.

Let’s look at an example of ONE MOVIE MOST PEOPLE HAVE EITHER SEEN OR KNOW ABOUT that used this Formula – The very first “STAR WARS”.

There is a Star(hero).

In Star Wars it was Luke Skywalker.

The Star has a Task to accomplish.

In Star Wars it was to rescue the beautiful princess Leia, help the Rebel Alliance, and restore freedom and justice to the Galaxy.

There is an Arch Villain that plans to thwart the Star’s task.

In Star Wars it was Darth Vader and the Imperial Forces

There is a Reach coach(mentor) that gives the Star a plan to beat the Villain and accomplish the task. The Star will temporarily borrow the mentor’s confidence and plan until they can build it up in them self.

In Star Wars it was the confidence and plan of Yoda that Luke temporarily borrows until he has built up his own confidence and plan of action.

There is a Reason created that makes the Star take action to accomplish the task NOW!

Urgency is created!

In Star Wars the reason for urgency is the impending death of the princess and destruction of his galaxy. This urgency makes Luke take action to accomplish the task NOW!

In Star Wars, Luke temporarily borrows the confidence of Yoda until he has built up his own and takes action, He beats Darth Vader, rescues the beautiful Princess Leia, helps the Rebel Alliance, and restores freedom and justice to the Galaxy.  The celebration follows.

OK … Now it’s YOUR TURN.

S – There’s a Star(hero). Of course, that’s you.

T –The Star has a Task they need to accomplish. In what area in your sales and business life would you like to build more confidence? Maybe it’s with a C-Suite client, or in the conference room.  Maybe it’s on the phone, emails, or communicating on LinkedIn. Or maybe it’s a leadership skill you want to be more confident in. It’s your movie, you decide.

A – There’s an Arch Villain that plans to thwart the Star’s task. Who or what is your Arch Villain? Who or what is holding you back from gaining that confidence.  Maybe it’s you, your mindset, your boss, a co-worker, your spouse, your friend, a false belief or a bad habit. Think about it.

R – There’s a Reach coach(mentor) that gives the Star a plan to beat the Villain and accomplish the task. They will temporarily borrow the Reach coach’s confidence and plan until they can build it up in them self.

In creating your movie, I will temporarily be your Reach coach(mentor). I will give you the plan to beat your Arch Villain and accomplish your task.

R – Now there needs to be an urgency or “no action will be taken”. Do you know what your urgency is? …or are you like many people, and it is not clearly defined. My strategy will help you define it clearly.

Now it’s time for the final piece to create your “movie” … and it’s going to be fun.

It’s my 5 S.T.A.R.R. Confidence Strategy
